  • Document coding procedure
  • Procedures for design engineering operations
  • Procedures relating to management of engineering documents

II. Document Coding Procedures

  1. These procedures stipulate putting code numbers for every document to ensure proper storage, identification and retrieval.
  2. These procedures give code-numbering system for all job-related documents such as design, calculations, drawings, enquiry, specifications, correspondence etc.

III. Procedures for Design Engineering Operations

  1. File classification and file numbers for filing project related papers
  2. Performing basic engineering in the form of design methodology, design criteria, design philosophy etc.
  3. Preparing feasibility / project / technical reports
  4. Preparation of project execution plans and co-ordination activities
  5. Accuracy and precision in the survey results shall be ensured by the use of modern survey equipments such as Sokkia, Total Station, Wild Glass, Theodoloties and Auto-levels, plane tables supported by computer systems for fast and accurate mapping.
  6. Preparing design calculations, furnishing important information in design calculations like -
  • Source of information
  • Formulas used and reference for the same
  • Latest applicable standard codes
  • Reference drawings and documents along with revision number
  • Final conclusion

         7. Preparing of drawing schedule and engineering drawings as per standard               practice
