Late Shri V. R. Aminbhavi was one of the two Founder Directors of the Company, the other being Mr. R K Hegde.
He was an ambitious leader with exceptional managerial skills and technical soundness. He patiently built and served the firm for nearly five decades. He had extensive experience in Design and Construction in Civil Engineering in general and cooling towers in particular. His experience in leading Civil Engineering Firms in the early stages of his career has given an insight into Contract Management of large Civil Engineering Projects.
He firmly believed that recognition, name and fame will follow suit if challenges are accepted. A born strategist with extraordinary ability to understand and asses the demand of a scheme and chalk out an appropriate and fitting plan to implement it. This is how he dealt with a challenging Water Supply Scheme like Jal Nirmal Project where Community participation was the key. He completed the project with considerable success.
A statesman par excellence with a humane touch, he felt that civil engineering consultancy is a platform to demonstrate technical skills to serve the society at large. This paved way for the establishment of “AHEAD’ an NGO meant to encourage and support the people in need.
A fatherly figure to all his staff, he encouraged them and gave them an opportunity to learn, share and implement their work ethics. He inculcated the idea to conduct seminars on regular basis so as to impart the knowledge to all the staff because for him every passing day is a learning process.
His stature as an energetic, enthusiastic and composed persona will always inspire the A&H family.
